Week 4 and a bit, Camille is one month old!

Unbelievable that a month has gone by since Camille came into our lives. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday that we came home from the hospital, but mostly it feels like a lifetime has passed since then. Every day with her is so different.

This week Camille got to know her Aunt Jami, and her Aunt Jami got a good reminder of why she wants to wait a few years before she and Andy, her fiance, have kids. Camille has entered into a bit of a fussy phase, and even a baby expert like Jami was challenged. Luckily she likes going on walks, in the stroller and in the baby bjorn, and she likes being wrapped in the “moby wrap” (given to Steph by super mom Brooke Adams). Basically, she likes being active. Also, along with the fussiness, she has also become more interactive and now she smiles in response to a smile. She was doing that a bit last week, but it seemed more accidental than intentional. So she’s incredibly charming and she makes it a pleasure to please her. See for yourself:

Sign Language, three weeks old

As a newborn, self expression does not come easily, but Camille has really taken to this form of communication. She is happily her Papa’s valentine and no one else’s this year. Here are some more pictures of this week’s antics.

2 Weeks Old

It’s hard to believe, but Camille’s two week old birthday has come and gone! She went in to her doctor for her two week old check up and he agreed with what her mom and dad have been saying all along: this girl is perfect. She’s gained about 4 ounces since birth, and grown a full inch in height. She’s alert and holding her head up on her own, and yesterday she even rolled over by herself! (it’s the little things…) Here are some pictures of what she’s been up to
